Out of Hours
If you are unwell in the evening, overnight or at the weekend, contact: The Urgent Care Service on NHS 111.

Telephone Advice
Please contact Reception who will advise you of the most convenient time to phone to speak with either a doctor or practice nurse. This is usually after 11am or after 6pm, when you can also enquire about test results.

Home Visits
In the event of being immobile or too unwell to attend the surgery, please call before 10.30 am to arrange a home visit.

Medication Supplies

Please do NOT go to A&E or Out of Hours if you run out of medication over a weekend or bank holiday, they will not supply you with medication. Please go to your usual pharmacy and they may give you sufficient supplies to see you through - there may be a charge for this.

Non NHS Fees

Non NHS Services

The NHS does not cover every service that we provide. There are some items that if you request them we will charge a small fee towards the GPs time and adminstration.

For a list of charges please click on the link below

Non NHS Fees (October 2015)

We do not have facilities to accept credit or debit cards so we will only accept payment by cash or cheque. Payments must be made prior to any collection of forms or at the time of any medical services such as examinations. A receipt will be given by reception.

Please make cheques payable to: The Prince of Wales Surgery

The GPs are not obliged to perform Non NHS work on behalf of their patients except for some exceptions. GPs will try to accommodate patients requests but they are not required to do so. There is a lot of pressure on GPs time so please understand that letters and forms will not be done immediately.
